New financing for Zizoo

During the pandemic, boating vacations have become more popular. The startup has benefited from this and is now opening offices in Athens and Miami.

Boat rental platform Zizoo today announced a recent round of funding. The latest investment would bring the total raised since inception to more than $30 million. In the current round, two U.S. investment funds have invested in addition to existing investors, according to the company. The amount of funding is not known.

According to Zizoo, the company recently saw sales increase by more than 150 percent over the course of the year. The company would also expect revenue growth of more than 100 percent this year. "The boat rental market has exploded in recent years as the number of boats produced has increased tremendously and a younger audience has also discovered boating as a new form of travel," said Anna Banicevic, CEO and co-founder of Zizoo. She co-founded the boat rental platform with Sinan Masovic and Ivan Miletic in 2015. The company rents sailboats, catamarans, as well as yachts and speedboats. In the meantime, more than 200,000 customers worldwide are registered on the platform.

In addition to its Berlin office, the startup is currently opening offices in Athens and Miami. "This investment will help us enter more markets and grow our community on the platform - making Zizoo the most important gateway and central technology for boat rentals," Banicevic says of the current funding round.
