The Berlin-based start-up digitizes communication between tenants and landlords. It has now raised 240,000 euros from investor Styx Urban Investment in a pre-seed round.

Mateo's service is to digitize everything in the interaction between tenants, landlords and service providers. The start-up from Berlin has now closed a pre-seed financing round of 240,000 euros. The main investor is venture capitalist Styx Urban Investment, which focuses on start-ups and explicitly early-stage proptechs that are dedicated to urban challenges. The perfect combination, as Mateo writes on LinkedIn: "Super happy to have found such a perfect investor for our first round." Among other things, Mateo aims to make it easier to make requests to your own landlord, for example if the heating is broken.

Two business angels are also involved. With the investment, Mateo will also be included in the Styx Living Lab, in which new features and offers can be tested in a test infrastructure of over 1,200 apartments and 2,500 tenants.
