The start-up is setting up a care service that is already looking after around 400 patients. The young company's software is designed to save 20 percent of time on bureaucratic tasks.

Kenbi receives seven million euros from seed financing. The round was led by Redalpine. Previous investors Heartcore, E.Ventures and Partech also participated.

The start-up is building a care service that already provides outpatient care to 400 patients. The model is centered on the carers, meaning that the carers organize their work largely independently on the basis of care management software. The young company believes that this can save up to 20 percent of time on bureaucratic tasks. The start-up began its work in Emmerthal in Lower Saxony in 2019 and is now expanding in Germany.

"By combining technology and organizational innovation, we believe Kenbi meets all the requirements to counteract the shortage of skilled workers in Germany - caused by the ageing population and other demographic changes," says new investor Michael Sidler from Redalpine. The money will be used to expand the care teams, automate back-office processes and further develop the app.
