Qunomedical raises ten million euros

With its Qunosuite software, the start-up wants to help clinics around the world to maintain patient relationships. Bertelsmann Investments and Dieter von Holtzbrinck Ventures are supporting the idea.

Qunomedical has received ten million euros in a Series A financing round for its new B2B solution "Qunosuite". Bertelsmann Investments and Dieter von Holtzbrinck Ventures have invested in the healthcare start-up for the first time. Half of the funding comes from existing investors such as MS&AD Ventures and Calmstorm.

Sophie Chung founded Qunomedical in Berlin in 2016. The start-up initially launched a doctor search platform. Patients can find certified doctors in 25 countries on the platform and also receive free advice during and after treatment. With the new Qunosuite offering, the start-up now wants to help doctors, hospitals and clinic chains to manage their patient relationships and optimize their processes. Qunomedical has tapped into a new source of income with the software, as healthcare providers pay a monthly fee. To date, clinics at ten locations use the software and manage a total of over 120,000 patients.

"Our goal is to become the leading software for patient relationship management - worldwide," says Qunomedical founder and CEO Sophie Chung. "The mere fact that there is currently no truly functioning software for this shows how important our project is and how great our potential is."
