Rainmaker Society lands six-figure deal

The company has launched a career network. Pixelnauten boss Thomas Schirmer is one of the investors.

The Berlin start-up Rainmaker Society has closed a pre-seed round in the six-figure range. The company did not disclose the exact amount of the funding. The start-up intends to use the money to further develop its career platform. It also wants to acquire new customers and expand its community activities.

According to the company, the investors include a number of business angels who work as management consultants, entrepreneurs and founders. The company is not yet revealing most of the names behind this description. They have all "experienced the challenges of recruiting managers and junior staff themselves."

However, one investor has already committed to joining Rainmaker: It is the managing director of Pixelnauten GmbH, Thomas Schirmer. He explains the reasons for his investment as follows: "The job market has long been a candidate market. This is where Rainmaker Society will be able to play a real role in the future in order to be a valuable career companion for its members."

Rainmaker Society is building a career network to connect managers and young employees. According to the start-up, the platform aims to support specialists and managers in the long term in "shaping their careers in a more targeted, predictable and fulfilling way." One of the company's founders is Dirk Schuran: He had previously worked at the Financial Times Deutschland, the Axel Springer publishing house and the business-to-business marketplace Comatch. The second founder is Sven Galander, who previously worked at BMW, Volkswagen and Roland Berger. The two met at university.

The company claims to have over 500 members so far and helps some companies to find employees. Its clients include Art Night/Realtainment, Orderchamp, Shyftplan, Wingtra and Equippo, the EnBW subsidiary Senec, TUI, the Hasso Plattner Institute and Fintech Nets.
