Saxony supports almost 80 potential start-up founders

1000 euros and a network: that's what the InnoStartBonus funding program in Saxony offers. 377 people have registered with ideas and concepts, and the federal state is now funding 78 of them.
After a two-year pilot phase, the InnoStartBonus funding program in Saxony is drawing its conclusions: 78 people interested in founding a company have been selected for funding. Among them are 35 female founders. So far, 35 grants have already been implemented - and someone has also thought of the children: 40 dependent children are also supported by the funding program with 100 euros per month.
The funding otherwise consists of 1,000 euros for twelve months and integration into the futureSAX network. "It's not just the impetus provided by the 100 or so individual support appointments held by futureSAX, but also the feedback from the expert panel that helps those interested," says Marina Heimann from futureSAX.
In four calls, 377 interested parties submitted 173 start-up concepts from twelve different sectors. This completely exceeded expectations, writes Martin Dulig from the Saxony Ministry of Economic Affairs. The special thing about this is that two of the calls took place during Corona and more applications were received in these rounds than before. "The great response inspires me and shows me that the optimism and courage to start up is unbroken," says Dulig. A continuation is planned for next year, but is dependent on the 2021/2022 budget. Most of the projects will be implemented in Chemnitz, Leipzig and Dresden.
