Staffbase buys Finnish company

The Chemnitz-based company wants to further expand its offering for companies that use Microsoft and is therefore acquiring the Finnish company Valo.
Staffbase improves employee communication, while Valo Solutions from Finland offers intranets and digital workplaces. The two start-ups are now bundling their offerings: Staffbase has acquired Valo for this purpose. The amount is not known. Contact persons and offerings will remain the same for both brands, and over time everything will be brought together under Staffbase. All products serve companies that use Microsoft 365 applications.
"We are creating a place to manage a modern channel mix for employee communication - including intranets, SharePoint, Teams, employee apps, email newsletters and digital display boards," says Martin Böhringer, CEO of Staffbase. He founded the start-up in Chemnitz in 2014 and Staffbase now has offices in ten cities, including New York, Amsterdam and London. The 500 employees look after two million end users, according to Staffbase.
Valo has been on the market since 2001 and now has offices in four countries. "I am convinced that the combination of Staffbase and Valo will make a significant difference. Over five million employees are already using our platforms and can look forward to a great personalized communication solution for their hybrid workplaces," says Valo CEO Marc Josefsson.
