The Hamburg start-up wants to make its oat drink big. Now it apparently needs money to do so.

The Hamburg-based start-up Unmilk wants to launch a crowdfunding campaign on the Ecooners platform from November 8th. According to the start-up, it wants to raise money for its oat drink, which is said to contain a mixture of gluten-free oats and protein. Katjes Greenfood, which according to its website financed itself via crowdfunding, is also a supporter.

According to the start-up, the first 100,000 euros will go towards marketing, with a further 300,000 euros going towards sales and expanding its own stock. It also wants to develop new products. Those who invest early will receive various bonuses, for example a lifetime oat drink subscription from an investment of 25,000 euros.

However, investors should exercise caution. According to the start-up, the investment is a subordinated loan with a fixed interest payment. This means that in the event of a bankruptcy, the crowd investors are the last to be paid out. The investment prospectus states accordingly: "Investors run the risk of a total loss of their investment plus other assets, for example as a result of payment obligations from individual debt financing of the profit-participating subordinated loan or tax payments to be made, which can lead to insolvency. The maximum risk is the private insolvency of the investor."
