Entrepreneurs launch job platforms for Ukrainian refugees

Two new portals are now online to make it easier for refugees from Ukraine to find a job. One comes from founders from Berlin, the other from a medium-sized association.
The new portal UA Talents is online and aims to help refugees from Ukraine find a job. The platform was founded by Berlin-based Ukrainian tech entrepreneurs Ivan Kychatyi and Nikita Overchyk. At the launch of UA Talents, 5,000 jobs have already been advertised. These are primarily from the technology sector. However, the offering is soon to be expanded to include other sectors.
The investors behind the platform are Atlantic Labs, FoodLabs, HV Capital, Earlybird and Project A. According to UA Talents, the companies Flink, Bolt, Meta, Stepstone, Gorillas, Foodlabs and Axel-Springer-Verlag have also pledged their support. According to the founders, the platform is not profit-oriented and all proceeds generated will be donated to Ukraine.
Entrepreneur Marcus Diekmann has also launched a job platform for refugees from Ukraine. "There is a shortage of over one million workers in Germany in the care, agricultural, catering and digital sectors. At the same time, refugees can only be integrated if we find jobs for them," says Diekmann. There are already 1,200 job vacancies online on the Jobaidukraine platform. The project is supported by software developer Minubo and Shopware, among others.
