Digitalization in the healthcare sector. Nelly receives 100 million euros from Volksbank for digital financial solutions in medical practices

Berlin, 9 October 2024 - Nelly Solutions, a fintech startup specializing in the digitalization of medical practices, has announced a strategic partnership with Vereinigte Volksbank Raiffeisenbank (VVRB). As part of this collaboration, Volksbank is providing Nelly with a purchase volume of 100 million euros to digitize the factoring of medical services in medical practices.

Support for the digitalization of medical practices

Nelly Solutions offers medical practices a fully digital platform through which private and statutory health insurance services can be processed more efficiently. The new partnership expands the company's product portfolio and enables the entire financial process - from invoicing to fast payment - to be digital. Medical practices benefit from the elimination of administrative hurdles and improved liquidity.

The partnership with Volksbank and the purchase volume of 100 million euros confirm the trust in our business model.

Simplification of financial management in practices

With Nelly's digital factoring solution, medical practices can sell their outstanding receivables to the Volksbank and usually receive payment of the invoices within 24 hours. This significantly reduces the administrative workload for medical practices, as Nelly also handles the entire process from invoicing to collection of the receivables. This includes, among other things, the administration of payments from the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KV) and private services.

Thanks to the partnership with VVRB, Nelly can further expand its role as a provider of digital financial solutions in the healthcare sector and support even more medical practices in Germany with its technology. This should lead to more efficient, transparent and user-friendly processing of medical services.

Contributing to the digitalization of the healthcare system

The German healthcare system continues to be characterized by bureaucracy. Medical practices often have to wait a long time for payments, especially when it comes to billing for services provided by statutory health insurance physicians. This is precisely where Nelly comes in: The digital solution can shorten these processes and improve the cash flow of medical practices.

We are excited about the partnership with Nelly because together we can develop innovative products that change the market

Ralf Magerkurth, Member of the Management Board of Vereinigte Volksbank Raiffeisenbank eG

The partnership with Volksbank makes Nelly the sole point of contact for factoring in medical practices and helps them to simplify the often complex and time-consuming administrative processes. The company thus offers practices more time to concentrate on patient care and at the same time contributes to the modernization of the German healthcare system.
