Ampeers Energy sells 25 percent to Austrian real estate company

The Munich-based start-up is a spin-off of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. Now the Austrian Federal Real Estate Company is investing in Ampeers Energy and receiving a quarter of the start-up.
Ampeers Energy (AE) is dedicated to energy optimization in buildings, and now the Austrian Bundesimmobiliengemeinschaft (BIG) is investing in the start-up. BIG is acquiring a 25.1 percent stake in the Munich-based company. "BIG has set itself the ambitious goal of achieving a largely climate-neutral energy supply for its properties," says BIG CEO Hans-Peter Weiss. "The investment in AE is the next logical step for BIG in the decarbonization of its properties," Weiss continues.
Ampeers Eneergy is a spin-off of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft founded in 2019. AE is establishing a subsidiary for the collaboration with BIG in order to implement the projects in Austria. For example, BIG intends to use AE's software for the "Village im Dritten" construction project in Vienna, where residential and commercial space is to be built on around 11 hectares of building land.
