Avelios Medical raises two million euros

Munich's LMU Klinikum already relies on the start-up's software platform. Avelios Medical has now completed its financing round.
Avelios Medical has completed its seed financing round of two million euros. The Berlin-based venture capital fund Revent led the financing round. High-Tech Gründerfonds and the founders of Amboss and Oviva also invested in the software start-up.
Avelios Medical intends to use the money to roll out its hospital software to other hospitals and develop new modules. "It's unbelievable that something as important and large as the healthcare sector has such dramatic deficits when it comes to digitalization," says co-founder Christian Albrecht. "Our mission is to become the digital backbone of hospitals and enable data-driven healthcare."
Avelios Medical was founded last year by Nicolas Jakob, Sebastian Krammer and Christian Albrecht. The Avelios Medical platform is designed to enable hospitals to digitize their workflows. Using various connected modules, they can document treatments, create work lists and generate doctor's letters, for example. The LMU Hospital in Munich is already using the software platform for its outpatient clinic and laboratory.
