Munich's LMU Klinikum already relies on the start-up's software platform. Now Avelios Medical has closed its financing round.

Avelios Medical has closed its seed financing round in the amount of two million euros. Berlin-based venture capital fund Revent led the financing round. High-Tech Gründerfonds and the founders of Amboss and Oviva also invested in the software start-up.

Avelios Medical plans to use the money to roll out its clinic software to more hospitals and develop new modules. "It's unbelievable that something as important and big as healthcare has such dramatic deficits in digitalization," said co-founder Christian Albrecht. "Our mission is to become the digital backbone of hospitals and enable data-driven healthcare."

Avelios Medical was founded last year by Nicolas Jakob, Sebastian Krammer and Christian Albrecht. With Avelios Medical's platform, hospitals should be able to digitize their workflows. Using various connected modules, they can, for example, document treatments, create work lists and generate doctor's letters. Munich's LMU Klinikum is already using the software platform for its outpatient department and laboratory.
