The start-up is only a few months old and has already attracted an investor from the USA for its pre-seed financing round: Synapse Partners. High-Tech Gründerfonds and Vireo Ventures are also involved.

Founded in October 2020, Awake Mobility has now announced a successful pre-seed financing round. High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Synapse Partners from Silicon Valley and Berlin-based early investor Vireo Ventures are also involved. According to the start-up, the round took place in March.

The money will be invested in product development and expanding the team. The Munich-based start-up is dedicated to the digitalization of public transport, currently primarily buses. The aim is to use AI to prevent breakdowns, detect damage in advance and reduce costs. To achieve this, IoT hardware is installed in the buses.

The start-up was founded by Daniel Sattel, Houssem Braham and Daniel Tyoschitz. They bring experience from Silicon Valley, including Braham's time at Tesla. With Awake Mobility, they want to digitize not only buses, but also other means of transport. "A world of undisturbed transportation. That's our goal," says Tyoschitz, describing the Munich-based company's mission.
