Cure now also delivers in Essen

The pharmacy delivery service Cure already offers free home delivery in four German cities. Now the service is also available in Essen.

Customers in Essen can now have products from a local pharmacy delivered to their home via the GetCure app. This is the fifth city after Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main and Munich in which the delivery service, which was founded in 2021, is active. And this is just the beginning: according to the company, Cure plans to expand to 15 more cities by the end of 2022.

Founders Ali El-Ali and Manuel Aberle only raised 15 million euros in September to drive the expansion forward. They do not see themselves as competitors to pharmacies, but as partners. "Our most important goal at the moment is to digitize our partners' pharmacies and become the connecting element and the best platform for pharmacists and customers," says El-Ali.

The app currently offers a selection of around 3,000 products. Cure couriers then deliver these to customers free of charge. The products are all non-prescription. As soon as e-prescription is introduced, prescription drugs will also be added to the range.
