The Berlin-based mobility start-up Dance has been able to attract seven new angel investors, including a number of celebrities. These include rappers Chance the Rapper and will.i.am as well as actor Maisie Williams. Dreamwork founder Jeffrey Katzenberg and Dropbox founder Sujay Jaswa, Amorelie boss Lea-Sophie Cramer, Suneil Setiya and Greg Skinner, the co-CEOs of Quadrature and Apple and Audi designer Julian Hönig are also involved.

"The addition of further investors shows that other pioneers also believe in our mission. Dance is proud to work with luminaries from different industries, countries and backgrounds to design quality living spaces for people, not cars," says Dance CEO Eric Quidenus-Wahlforss. The start-up is still planning its launch. Dance wants to rent out high-quality e-bikes to commuters, and the start-up also offers a repair service. The subscription will cost 59 euros per month. "The pandemic has shown us how beautiful cities can be when there are fewer cars on the roads," says new investor Julian Hönig, who is also designing the new e-bike. "With its e-bikes, Dance is making a conscious and elegant commitment to the sustainable mobility of the future."

Dance was founded last year by Soundcloud founders Eric Quidenus-Wahlforss and Alexander Ljung together with Jimdo co-founder Christian Springub. Investors include BlueYard and HV Holtzbrinck Ventures. In October last year, the start-up raised 15 million euros.
