InfraRed gives JOLT Energy 150 million euros for urban fast-charging network

The Munich-based start-up JOLT Energy GmbH is planning to build thousands of battery-backed ultra-fast charging stations in cities in Europe and North America over the next few years. Local and commercial partners can obtain the charging stations without having to invest in or operate them themselves.
JOLT Energy GmbH plans to build thousands of fast charging stations in European and North American cities in the coming years. The charging stations will offer an output of up to 320 kW and can also be operated when grid capacity is limited thanks to the integration of battery storage systems. This enables the start-up to quickly charge electric vehicles in urban areas without the need for costly infrastructure upgrades.
