The new investors include Chance the Rapper, will.i.am and Jeffrey Katzenberg. It is not known how much money the commitment will cost them.

Berlin-based mobility start-up Dance has attracted seven new angel investors, including some celebrities. They include rappers Chance the Rapper and will.i.am, as well as actor Maisie Williams. Also joining are Dreamwork founder Jeffrey Katzenberg and Dropbox founder Sujay Jaswa, Amorelie CEO Lea-Sophie Cramer, Suneil Setiya and Greg Skinner, the co-CEOs of Quadrature, and Apple and Audi designer Julian Hönig.

"The addition of more investors illustrates that other pioneers believe in our mission as well. Dance is proud to work with luminaries from different industries, countries and backgrounds to design quality living spaces for people, not cars," says Dance CEO Eric Quidenus-Wahlforss. The startup is still planning its launch. Dance wants to rent high-quality e-bikes to commuters, and the start-up also offers a repair service. Monthly, the subscription is expected to cost 59 euros. "The pandemic showed us how beautiful cities can be when there are fewer cars on the road," says new investor Julian Hönig, who is also designing the new e-bike. "Dance is making a conscious and elegant commitment to sustainable mobility of the future with its e-bikes."

Dance was founded last year by Soundcloud founders Eric Quidenus-Wahlforss and Alexander Ljung, along with Jimdo co-founder Christian Springub. Investors include BlueYard and HV Holtzbrinck Ventures. In October last year, the start-up raised 15 million euros.
