EU antitrust authority searches Delivery Hero headquarters

In an investigation into suspected cartel activity, the European Commission has scrutinized the offices of Delivery Hero and Glovo. Both companies have confirmed this.
The European Commission's Directorate-General for Competition is investigating several online food delivery companies on suspicion of cartel formation and anti-competitive behavior. There are indications that the delivery services have colluded on how to divide up national markets. According to reports by Dpa, there have also been searches at Delivery Hero in Berlin.
Delivery Hero acquired a majority stake in Glovo just a few days ago. The German listed company had already announced this step in December of last year. Previously, Delivery Hero held a 44 percent stake in the Spanish provider. According to the Tagesspiegel , Glovo's offices were also searched.
It is not known whether and which other delivery services are affected. Both Delivery Hero and Glovo have stated that they are cooperating with the authorities.
