The start-up wants to enable more sustainable mobility with a hybrid of bike and car.

The e-mobility start-up Hopper has raised over 580,000 euros in three months in a crowd investment round. In the process, 280 investors invested via the private investor network Companisto. The new capital will be used to set up series production of the Hopper, a hybrid of a car and a bicycle. Production of the pilot series is set to begin at the start of this year. Regular series production is then planned from the second half of the year.

"Thanks to this broad support directly from our customers, we can work together to drive forward the transport revolution and make sustainable mobility a reality," says co-founder Torben Müller-Hansen. He founded Hopper together with Martin Halama and Philipp Herrmann. In terms of traffic law, the vehicle is a pedelec and can also be ridden on cycle paths. The electric motor supports riders up to a speed of 25 kilometers per hour.
