Hopper Mobility starts series production

With a hybrid of bicycle and car, the start-up wants to enable more sustainable mobility.
The e-mobility start-up Hopper has raised over 580,000 euros in a crowdfunding round in three months. In the process, 280 investors invested via the Companisto private investor network. The new capital will go toward setting up series production for the Hopper, a hybrid between a car and a bicycle. Production of the pilot series is scheduled to start at the beginning of this year. Regular series production is then planned from the second half of the year.
"Through this broad support directly from our customers, we can jointly drive the transport revolution and make sustainable mobility a reality," says co-founder Torben Müller-Hansen. He founded Hopper together with Martin Halama and Philipp Herrmann. Under traffic law, the vehicle is a pedelec and may also be ridden on bike paths. The electric motor supports riders up to a speed of 25 kilometers per hour.
