Hamburg start-up Oak25 launches distress sale

Pandemic-related supply difficulties had hit Oak25 hard. Emil Woermann and Jacob Leffers now want to save their start-up with a distress sale.
Oak25 is probably facing insolvency - although, according to information from Gründerszene was still going well until the end of 2021. The Hamburg-based start-up had run into liquidity problems due to pandemic-related delivery difficulties and increased delivery prices. The start-up is now asking its customers for support.
"The goods that we so urgently needed for Christmas are only now being delivered, overfilling our warehouse, tying up our capital and emptying our cash register," explains co-founder Emil Woermann in a one-minute video message on the start-up's website. That's why Oak25 has now launched an emergency sale. There is currently a discount of between 30 and 50 percent on the reflective backpacks and bum bags for cyclists.
Emil Woermann and Jacob Leffers founded Oak25 in Hamburg. In 2019, the two founders presented their rainproof, reflective backpacks for cyclists on Kickstarter and raised 20,000 euros. About You founder Tarek Müller also supported the start-up.
