Insolvency filed: CleverShuttle is looking for new partners

CleverShuttle files for insolvency: operations continue for the time being despite provisional insolvency administration. Provisional insolvency administrator Sebastian Laboga looking for new investors.

GHT Mobility GmbH, the company behind the CleverShuttle brand, has filed for insolvency. The Charlottenburg Local Court responded by ordering provisional insolvency administration over the company's assets. The restructuring expert Mr. Sebastian Laboga from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH was appointed as the provisional insolvency administrator.

Despite these developments, CleverShuttle's operations remain unaffected for the time being and will continue. Passengers can therefore continue to use the usual mobility service for the time being. However, it remains to be seen how the insolvency will affect the future of the ride-sharing service.

The aim is to work out a solution in the coming months that will secure the future and the further development and expansion of the group of companies. A new investor is to be found for this purpose

In a recent announcement, the approximately 100 employees of the holding company were informed of the current situation. In order to ensure financial security, the PLUTA team has initiated the pre-financing of insolvency substitute benefits. Thanks to the insolvency substitute benefits, the employees' salaries are secured for a period of three months.

The start-up CleverShuttle currently operates 21 on-demand services in over 45 municipalities. With flexible minibuses that operate without a fixed timetable, CleverShuttle fills existing gaps in local public transport in cities and municipalities. Last year, CleverShuttle won more than half of all tenders for scheduled on-demand services. The company is divided into GHT Mobility GmbH and five regional companies: CleverShuttle Südwest GmbH, CleverShuttle Südost GmbH, CleverShuttle Ost GmbH, CleverShuttle West GmbH and CleverShuttle Nordwest GmbH. More than 700 people are employed in these GmbHs of the holding company and are responsible for implementing the transport contracts concluded with the districts and cities.
