Investors wanted: PLUTA attorney Mr Bohnhoff has initiated the search for an investor for the Berlin-based start-up mittemitte, which has developed a water treatment device

Berlin, April 25, 2024 - The Berlin-based start-up mittemitte GmbH, which has developed an innovative water treatment device, is currently in the process of finding an investor under the leadership of restructuring expert Mr Michael Bohnhoff from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH. After the company had to file for insolvency in mid-March, Mr. Bohnhoff was appointed provisional insolvency administrator by the Local Court of Charlottenburg.

Water bubbler and water filter in one

The mittemitte water purification device combines the advantages of a water bubbler and a water filter. It purifies the water with a double filter system and can be enriched with minerals.

Bohnhoff is concentrating on continuing the business operations and has already held talks with potential investors. At the same time, M&A consultant Frederik Olms from GO & Company GmbH is assisting in the search for an investor for the company.

Middle of the business model

The start-up was founded in 2016 and currently employs 14 people. The water treatment system filters tap water with activated carbon and a hollow fiber membrane, adds minerals and carbonates the water if desired. This sets mittemitte apart from other technologies on the market. Customers have the option of purchasing or subscribing to the system.

The investor search comes at a time when the issue of water resources is becoming increasingly important, especially from a sustainability (ESG) perspective. The company offers a solution that delivers pure, mineralized water at the touch of a button, helping to make the consumption of drinking water more sustainable.
