Hellofresh flies out of the Dax

On September 19, the start-up is replaced by Siemens Energy and will be listed on the MDax.
After just over a year, it's over again. The cooking box supplier Hellofresh will leave the DAX on September 19. The start-up will be replaced by Siemens Energy. Hellofresh joined the Dax when the Frankfurt Stock Exchange expanded the index for the largest German listed companies from 30 to 40 companies last year.
Since Hellofresh's inclusion, the company's share price has fallen by 75 percent. The start-up from Berlin will be listed in the MDax index of the 50 largest second-tier stocks in future. The Hellofresh share recorded its most recent major slump from July 19 to July 20. At that time, the company cut its expected adjusted earnings from 500 to 580 million euros to 460 to 530 million euros, as the Handelsblatt reported.
Most recently, the Group had to sell its insolvent subsidiary Hellofresh Go. The former spin-off supplied food vending machines to corporate customers with meal boxes, but struggled during the coronavirus crisis, which drove many people to work from home. Hellofresh Go has been part of the Swedish group Convini since June.
