The position is a newly created one: From August, Nicholas Minde will be the Head of Operations for the DACH region for the Berlin-based start-up Sennder.

20 years of professional experience at DHL and Kühne+Nagel (K+N), among others, characterize Nicholas Minde. Now he is venturing into the world of start-ups. From August 1, he will head up Sennder's operational business for the German-speaking region. "I am delighted to become part of a company that stands for positive and pioneering change in the industry," says Minde about his move.

Sennder was founded in 2015 by David Nothacker, Julius Köhler and Nicolaus Schefenacker. The Berlin-based start-up sees itself as a "digital freight forwarder", which claims to manage over 12,000 trucks in Europe and employs 840 people.

Just last year, Sennder merged with its French competitor Everoad. At the beginning of the year, the Berlin-based company received a billion-euro valuation, making it a unicorn. In the Series D financing round, they received 160 million dollars.

"Nicholas Minde brings more than 20 years of experience in day-to-day operations and strategic leadership in the industry. This combination is a great asset to our team," says COO Tom Christenson of Sennder.
