Körber acquires majority stake in Dain Studios

The companies want to work together on offerings in the field of artificial intelligence.

The Hamburg-based technology group Körber is acquiring a majority stake in the Finnish-German data and AI consulting company Dain Studios, which has offices in Berlin, Helsinki and Munich. The acquisition took effect on December 27 of last year. Dain Studios will continue to operate independently as a brand. However, together with Körber, the company will focus more strongly on the manufacturing industry and logistics. There are also plans to expand the range of products and services.

"With the consulting expertise of Dain Studios, we are expanding our ability to use the potential of AI to create visible added value for our customers," says Christian Schlögel, Chief Digital Officer at Körber. "Thanks to Körber, we can now further expand our strategic relevance in our home markets and become even more international," hopes the CEO of Dain Studios, Dirk Hofmann.

Körber is an international technology group with around 10,000 employees and more than 100 locations worldwide. The company's Business Areas are digital, pharmaceuticals, supply chains, paper and tobacco. According to Körber, its aim is to "build technology companies for production efficiency driven by artificial intelligence". This is also where Dain Studios comes into play: the company supports companies with data strategies and solutions in the field of artificial intelligence. The company's clients operate in various sectors, such as telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, banking, insurance and media.
