Smartlane receives over six million euros

The software company has won a million-euro investment for the further development of AI-based transportation options.
Back in October 2021, the Munich-based start-up Smartlane convinced the jury of the European innovation funding program EIC Accelerator and received funding of 1.7 million euros. JOVA Direkt Invest has now also invested 4.5 million euros.
Smartlane was founded in 2015 and is based in Munich. The start-up has developed Smartlane Transport Intelligence, an AI-based software for transport optimization in the logistics industry. The self-learning technology is designed to reduce dispatching costs, operating costs and CO2 emissions.
"Our solution reduces shipping costs by up to 90% and at the same time increases the reliability and precision of the planning process immensely. This means that the growing volume of shipments can be handled more efficiently, even in times of scarce resources," explains Monja Mühling, co-founder and CEO. Smartlane intends to use the new capital to double the size of the team.
