SevenVentures, strategic media partner of Next Gen Foods, is supporting the food tech start-up with a media-for-equity investment to increase awareness of TiNDLE products in Germany and the DACH region. The products offer an easy-to-prepare alternative to conventional plant-based chicken meat.

Unterföhring - SevenVentures, the investment arm of ProSiebenSat.1, has invested a double-digit million amount in Next Gen Foods via a media-for-equity investment. The Singapore-based food tech company develops innovative and sustainable plant-based foods and distributes them worldwide. Its first plant-based food brand, TiNDLE, was launched in Germany in summer 2022 and will now be available in more retail stores.

Together with SevenVentures, we want to bring our mission of creating a more sustainable food system while providing better alternatives for people and the planet to a wider audience.

Timo Recker, CEO & Co-Founder Next Gen Foods

TiNDLE is an easy-to-prepare plant-based chicken. Originally developed for the foodservice sector, five TiNDLE products have been available to customers in Germany and the UK since the beginning of this year. TiNDLE is also available in restaurants worldwide. The partnership with SevenVentures as media investor aims to further increase awareness of TiNDLE in Germany. At the same time, the partners want to raise awareness of vegan nutrition and plant-based meat substitutes.

We are investing in a fast-growing international food company with sustainable and innovative products.

Florian Hirschberger, CEO SevenVentures

Next Gen Foods was founded in 2020 by Andre Menezes, a Brazilian poultry exporter, and Timo Recker, a German food entrepreneur who is already the third generation of his family to produce meat products. The company aims to create a more sustainable food system and reduce dependence on animal agriculture. As chicken is the world's most popular source of protein and is used in various cuisines and food traditions, the initial focus was on developing a plant-based substitute for chicken.

With this long-term investment, SevenVentures reaffirms its expertise in sustainably building consumer-oriented start-ups through individual media investments and increasing their awareness via ProSiebenSat.1's high-reach TV and digital channels. This will support Next Gen Foods in taking the next step in its development: creating greater awareness for the product range in the DACH region and further expanding the retail sales channel.
