Sparkasse Düsseldorf relies on AR

There are enough digital banks, but how do established banks actually digitize themselves? Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf is leading the way and working with the start-up Getbaff to bring its customers closer to its services using augmented reality.
SMEs, established companies and traditional businesses - they all have to make the leap into the digital world and are trying out new concepts. Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf is relying on augmented reality to enable customers to experience analog areas digitally in an app. The start-up Getbaff is responsible for implementing the app and integrating videos and information. Founded in 2018 by Hendrik Gottschalk and Jan Owiesniak, the start-up now has customers such as Vodafone, Tetra Pak and Procter & Gamble.
"We are very pleased about the cooperation with Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf and would like to show business customers that they can easily and directly address the respective target group with the diverse possibilities of our getbaff app," says Gottschalk about the new collaboration. There are three different packages for Sparkasse customers that can be accessed via the app.
"Through our collaboration with getbaff, we are providing access to the latest technologies and supporting the path to digitalization," says Karin-Brigitte Göbel, CEO of Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf. The savings bank can also address its customers in a more targeted manner by evaluating the data records.
