These companies have won at Startup-Impuls

In total, hannoverimpuls and Sparkasse Hannover awarded prizes worth more than 100,000 euros. The main prize went to a sustainable idea.

The "Startup-Impuls" competition is being held by Sparkasse Hannover together with hannoverimpuls for the 18th time and is one of the most highly endowed start-up competitions in Germany.

This year, Crafting Future won the main prize in the start-up competition. The 36,000 euro prize was awarded to a young company that aims to provide scalable and sustainable value-added solutions. The founders Can Lewandowski and Jan Patzer want to develop sustainable products for companies and also introduce them there, for example bioplastics.

HOMB followed in second place. The start-up is developing a rucksack in which parents can carry their children and received 21,000 euros for this. Flexxter came in third place and thus still on the virtual podium, taking home 11,000 euros. The company develops planning and coordination software for the construction industry.

Tim Göbel won the special prize for solo founders with his company Tiny Hotel. He received 10,000 euros, significantly more than the runners-up Sandy Jäger and Stella Kocademirci. They won 2,000 euros each with their start-ups Funtasiemobil and "fühl dich gut". Other special prizes went to eco:fibr for the idea of using plant residues from pineapple plantations as a substitute for wood pulp and RE-qui for the idea of designing products from old horse blankets.

Marina Barth, member of the Management Board of Sparkasse Hannover, said: "The experience of 18 years of start-up competitions in Hanover shows that Hanover has enormous potential! Hannover has enormous potential! Start-ups are an economic driver for the region and create jobs. And if they also provide answers to major issues such as resource scarcity or climate change, this once again speaks for the future viability of Hannover as a business location."
