Windeln.de must file for insolvency

The company had been negotiating a capital increase with investors. The talks failed. It is now planning to file for insolvency.
The baby supplies online store Windeln.de is insolvent. The company announced this on Friday in a financial report for its investors. There is no longer a positive forecast for the company's continued existence.
A planned capital increase collapsed in July. Windeln.de wanted to raise up to 5.5 million euros. Two investors had committed to buying further shares, but no longer provided any new funds. As a result, Windeln.de canceled the capital increase completely and looked for new investors - without success. "Due to the failure of the negotiations, however, the Management Board now assumes that there is no longer a sufficient probability that the company's additional financial requirements can be covered by investors," the company writes in its press release.
Five years after its foundation, Windeln.de successfully went public in 2015. At the end of 2017, the company's shares were still worth around 150 euros. Since then, the share price has fallen continuously. The share is now worth just 22 cents.
