How did you come up with the idea of founding Living WillPlus?

We had a case in our family and I was personally confronted with what happens when someone can no longer express their will. Nobody is really prepared for such a family emergency.

Why did you found your start-up, what problem are you addressing and how are you solving it?

When I looked into our family problem, I learned first-hand that many people do not have access to good and affordable documents. Also, the threshold to actually prepare these documents is quite high due to the difficult subject matter, many misperceptions people have and the high cost in the traditional legal field. I then www.patientenverfuegungplus.de to inform people objectively, offer high class documents and provide related services that support the whole life cycle on one platform, i.e. information about new developments, an easy way to update the documents, provide relatives and doctors with immediate and 24/7 access to the documents.

What is special about your business model, what do you do differently?

We combine law with additional non-legal services, combining previously unconnected tools on our platform and bringing to life a product that didn't exist in the legal sector before.

What was the most valuable piece of advice someone gave you during your start-up phase?

Do your best and don't give up.

What has been your biggest success so far?

Being rewarded several times since 2016 for the "best product on the market" with the Finanztip market check.

Why are you on Startbase?

We want to reach interested parties who see the great value and benefits of a partnership with us for their users, e.g. in the areas of insurance, finance, occupational health management, social benefits. In such a B2B2C situation, PatientenverfügungPlus can be used in a variety of ways, e.g. as a door opener, customer reward tool or cost-saving tool.

Where do you see your startup in 3 years?

We will be a leader in the field with solid partnerships.

If an investor gave you 250,000 euros, what would you do with the money?

We would go straight into the many "low hanging opportunities" to expand our business.

Who is the mastermind in your team and what is their superpower?

It's a team thing. Together we have great ideas.

Let's say you are the Governing Mayor of Berlin, what would you change?

Leaders at all levels need to better understand that the world is changing at a rapid pace and what that means for us as a country and an economy. We should be open and supportive of new developments that can be the source of a prosperous nation in the future. The transformation may be difficult for existing business models now, but that does not justify not driving this transformation forward. In fact, it brings with it wonderful new opportunities. Perhaps we can compare the current situation a little with a living will: There is a natural threshold of preferring not to do it, but once you have done it, you feel relieved and prepared for the future. Therefore, we should not try to defend traditional business models that will definitely disappear over time. The faster we adapt now, the better in the long run to remain a leading economy in the world.
