Coachhub takes over French start-up

Both start-ups offer digital coaching for companies, and now Coachhub is acquiring the Paris-based company Moovone. The merger of the two companies is set to take place in the coming months.

Coachhub raised 80 million US dollars at the beginning of the month, and now the Berlin-based company is announcing the takeover of its French competitor Moovone. The sum was not initially disclosed. Together, the two start-ups plan to employ 500 people by the end of the year and also want to grow in 2022. The merger is set to take place in the coming months.

"Our culture and our synergies bring us together decisively as a combined company with more than twice the clout," says Hugo Manoukian, one of the founders of Moovone. Since 2015, the Paris-based start-up claims to have coached 10,000 employees worldwide via its platform. It is now merging its offering with that of Coachhub to enable digital coaching for companies. It is also bringing 200 customers such as L'`Oreal, Orange and Axa with it.

"By joining forces, we are further accelerating our global growth and development," says Coachhub founder Yannis Niebelschütz about the acquisition. "Our merger expands our pool of highly qualified coaches and our growing team will further expand and accelerate the development of innovative, scientifically proven functionalities and services." Niebelschütz has announced new coaching services and new functions on the platform for the coming period.

The Berlin-based company has been in existence since 2018 and currently employs 3,000 coaches. In the current financing round, Coachhub raised 80 million US dollars. According to the start-up, it has tripled the number of employees and gained customers such as KPMG and Babbel. The service is currently available in 60 languages.
