Luminovo takes over Electronic Fellows

Luminovo and Electronic Fellows want to support PCB manufacturers in their work. Now the two start-ups have merged.

Munich-based start-up Luminovo has acquired Wiesbaden-based start-up Electronic Fellows. "The acquisition not only brings us a second product ready for sale," explains Luminovo founder Sebastian Schaal. "Sharing features and insights from Electronic Fellows' product Stackrate and our current core product LumiQuote also opens up new opportunities for collaboration between companies in the electronics value chain in one fell swoop," says the entrepreneur.

Electronic Fellows' Stackrate platform enables PCB manufacturers to digitally display, analyse and edit their PCBs. The feature will be integrated with Luminovo's LumiQuote platform, which allows manufacturers to process bills of materials and compare prices.

Luminovo had launched in 2017 as an artificial intelligence consultancy. In February 2021, the startup launched its own software. This was preceded by a pre-seed financing round of more than two million euros.
