Enpal records 100 million euro turnover

In 2021, the start-up broke the billion-euro mark and became the first green unicorn in Germany. Now it has announced new sales figures.

In 2021, the Berlin-based greentech Enpal achieved sales of more than 100 million euros in one year for the first time, almost doubling its turnover from the previous year.

Enpal was founded in 2017 and is one of the fastest growing technology companies in Germany with growth of over 11,000 percent. The greentech has 12,000 customers and employs 1,000 people. Enpal sells solar systems, battery storage systems, green electricity tariffs and software. "We offer homeowners the best alternative to traditional energy suppliers - cheap, simple, independent and green," explains founder and CEO Mario Kohle. The special thing about their concept is that the company offers solar systems with a subscription model. This eliminates high investment costs for homeowners.

The company's vision is for "everyone to have a solar system on their roof, an electric car on their doorstep and a storage unit in their home," says Kohle. Enpal's goal is to supply one million households with their own solar systems by the end of the decade.
