Enpal records 100 million euro turnover

In 2021, the start-up cracked the billion-dollar valuation and became the first green unicorn in Germany. Now it announced new sales figures.
In 2021, the Berlin-based greentech Enpal achieved more than 100 million euros in sales in one year for the first time, almost doubling its previous year's sales.
Founded in 2017, Enpal is one of Germany's fastest-growing tech companies, growing by more than 11,000 percent. The greentech has 12,000 customers and employs 1,000 people. Enpal sells solar systems, battery storage, green energy tariffs and software. "We offer homeowners the best alternative to the traditional energy provider - cheap, simple, independent and green," explains founder and CEO Mario Kohle. What is special about their concept is that the company offers solar systems with a subscription model. This eliminates high investment costs for homeowners.
The company's vision is that "everyone will have a solar system on their roof, an electric car outside their door, and storage in their home," Kohle says. Enpal's goal is to supply one million households with their own solar systems by the end of the decade.
