Klaas Heufer-Umlauf joins On Vacation

The Berlin streetwear start-up relies on prominent support. The presenter's exact investment amount is unclear.
TV presenter Klaas Heufer-Umlauf is investing in the Berlin streetwear start-up On Vacation. It is not known how much he is investing. Like other German celebrities, he has been wearing the brand's clothes for some time. The decision to invest has now been made "because he has always liked the vibe", according to Gründerszene . Other investors include the DJ duo Andhim and Marco Lawrenz, who founded a merchandise start-up (Mula).
On Vacation gained notoriety on Instagram in particular, as celebrities such as Lena Meyer-Landrut, Elyas M'Barek and Tommi Schmitt posted photos of themselves wearing the start-up's clothes. Uli Hasselmann and Jonas Michalak, who also work as DJs, founded the company seven years ago. Their goal: to bring fun and relaxation back into everyday life. For example, the clothes are printed with cozy Italian cities or the slogan "Do Nothing Club". The clothes are mainly made from organic cotton and most of the production takes place in Europe.
On Vacation is part of Brandhouse Berlin. The fashion label Vertere is also part of the company. Vertere was also founded by Hasselmann and Michalak. The investor and founder of the insolvent fashion company Lesara recently invested in the label, which is inspired by Berlin's club culture and produces fashion for techno fans. The company now employs a total of around 20 people.
