BESIX Group becomes new fund investor in PropTech1 Ventures

Construction group BESIX becomes an investor in PT1 - PropTech1 Ventures, the European platform for transformative real estate technologies. PT1 has made its fourth investment from its second fund, investing in UK technology company Greenworkx.
BESIX Group invests as a new fund investor in PT1 - PropTech1 Ventures, the European venture capital platform for transformative real estate technologies. BESIX Group is an international construction company with annual revenues of €3.4 billion (2022).
Our goal at BESIX is to increase our diversification efforts by investing in PropTech startups to stay ahead of the curve and position ourselves as an innovative force in the ever-evolving real estate and construction landscape.

In its fourth investment from the second fund, PT1 has invested in UK technology company Greenworkx. Greenworkx is a climate EdTech startup that trains a skilled workforce for carbon neutral infrastructure and supports the transition to net zero. In addition, two new venture partners join the PT1 team: Louise Richnau from Sweden and Sally Jones from London.
PT1 was recognized as a top brand among PropTech investors in the DACH region in a market study by pom+ Germany. Among other things, the company achieved first place in the categories of awareness, quality, number of investments, PropTech investment volume, LP investor base and expected return. PropTech1 Ventures invests in innovative companies from Europe that develop transformative real estate technologies. The platform has a diverse team based in Berlin and London and outposts across Europe to discover, fund and promote innovation.
PT1's real estate technologies focus on solving pressing real estate, infrastructure and energy challenges, such as upgrading existing properties and adapting to climate change. Just this May, we reported on Startbase about PT1's investment in Voltfang.
