Berlin-based ZEITSTROM has received a significant cash injection to boost its efforts to create electric car charging stations. The investors are ZEITGEIST and a major institutional utility.

Berlin - The ZEITSTROM company has received a substantial investment of several hundred million euros to rapidly expand charging stations for electric cars. The backers are ZEITGEIST, a European asset manager and project developer, and a major institutional utility. The news was announced ahead of EXPO REAL 2023.

We are helping real estate companies quickly create the necessary charging opportunities to make their buildings more attractive and sustainable according to ESG criteria.

Tom Sauer, CEO of ZEITSTROM

ZEITSTROM GmbH is an investor and full-service provider of charging infrastructure and self-sufficient energy solutions. The company offers real estate investors and housing associations complete solutions including the necessary investment. The company equips large office and residential buildings, shopping centers, hotels and logistics companies with charging columns and operates them on a long-term basis. There are currently over one million electric cars on the road worldwide, while this figure is expected to rise to 15 million by 2030.

Uncertain electricity prices and interest rate developments have made the industry more cautious about investing. With our offering, we enable real estate companies to prepare for the future by taking all the burden off their shoulders.

Tom Sauer, CEO of ZEITSTROM

ZEITSTROM's offering is holistic and includes the seamless integration of charging stations into existing business processes as well as complete billing logistics - digital and functional. Behind this is a long-term win-win model that will be presented at EXPO REAL 2023 in Munich.

ZEITGEIST Asset Management invests in real estate for capital investors throughout Europe. They acquire properties and land, develop them into sustainable real estate and add them to existing portfolios. With a total investment volume of three billion euros and a property area of 400,000 square meters, the company's focus is on sustainable and ESG-compliant value creation. Since its foundation in 2014, ZEITGEIST has already successfully implemented 60 projects and has offices in Berlin, Prague, Warsaw, Budapest and Milan.

EXPO REAL 2023 (October 4-6, 2023) will gather around 1,850 exhibitors from 36 countries to discuss the current challenges facing the real estate industry. The conference program is dedicated to pressing industry issues, and the event's stated goal is to provide solutions for the industry.
