Logistics start-up Saloodo expands to Argentina

The DHL subsidiary wants to gain a foothold in South America. The start-up is currently active in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The Cologne-based logistics start-up Saloodo has announced its expansion into South America. Saloodo will initially be active in Argentina and, if everything goes according to plan, will expand further across the continent from there. South America is one of the least networked continents - the DHL subsidiary wants to fill this gap. "Thanks to the successful launch of Saloodo in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, we are now in a position to offer the service in South America," says Antje Huber, CEO of Saloodo. "This will help to improve the connectivity and efficiency of the road freight transportation system in this region." According to the company, Argentina is the ideal springboard for entering the market.
Since 2017, Saloodo has been offering a logistics platform that can be used to digitally plan the entire shipping process for international deliveries. Customers can always view the current transport price on the platform. They can also manage all transport documents digitally. "Our goal is to do away with traditional and time-consuming offline logistics processes," says Eduardo Rodrigues, General Manager of DHL Global Forwarding Argentina.
