Sosafe opens new headquarters in Cologne

Following a large financing round in January, the start-up is now expanding its location on the Rhine.
The Cologne-based cyber security start-up Sosafe is opening its new headquarters in the Ehrenfeld district. "Cologne has always been an attractive start-up location for us. Thanks to its many universities and strong industry, there are numerous international specialists here, while the city's culture and mentality make it a great place to live," says Managing Director Niklas Hellemann, explaining the decision.
The expansion was also necessary because the start-up hired 200 new employees last year alone. The capital comes from the 73 million US dollar financing round in January. In addition to Cologne, this money will also flow into the new international locations(Startbase reported).
Sosafe was founded in 2018 by Niklas Hellemann, Lukas Schaefer and Felix Schürholz. With the start-up, they support various organizations in building their safety culture and minimizing risks. The company now has 1,800 customers worldwide and enables personalized learning experiences and attack simulations designed to train employees to actively protect themselves against online threats.
