Solaris has a new legal form

The embedded finance platform is now a Societas Europaea (SE). There were also changes to the Management Board.
First, Solarisbank changed its name to Solaris in the summer, now it is also changing its legal form: The company is now a Societas Europaea (SE). The entry in the commercial register was made on December 16, making the transformation legally effective. Solaris is now a European company with its own legal personality, which means that it can operate throughout the EU as a legal entity with national branches. Among other things, the SE structure simplifies acquisitions, so that Solaris can now more easily expand across national borders without expensive and time-consuming formalities for subsidiaries in individual countries.
Due to the new organizational structure, Solaris has also changed its management board. As of the first of May, Carsten Höltkemeyer will become the company's new CEO. He has been the designated successor of Roland Folz since the first of November. Further changes will take place from the first of January. Chloé Mayenobe will then become Chief Operations Officer (COO). She will thus also be responsible for international business. Jörg Diewald returns as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO); in recent months, he was Executive Advisor at Solaris. Ansgar Finken joins the company as Chief Risk Officer (CRO). He comes from BHW Bausparkasse and will be responsible for risk management and compliance. Lee Johnstone is currently still in charge of Solaris' UK subsidiary, but will become Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and part of the extended Management Board as a General Representative on January 1. Joerg Howein will remain in his position as Chief Platform Officer (CPO) responsible for the product and technology department.
Founded in 2016, the fintech operates a SaaS platform on which companies and other fintechs can handle their financial services. The company is headquartered in Berlin, Germany. In Europe and India, Solaris says it has a total of more than 750 employees.
