tretton37 launches global pro bono initiative for social impact startups

The Swedish technology consultancy tretton37 has launched the global pro bono initiative "Startup Boost", which offers ten selected startups free support in software development, design and strategy.
Swedish technology consultancy tretton37 is calling on startups that need excellence in software development but lack sufficient financial resources. Ten technology companies will be selected and offered free support in areas such as programming, design and strategy.
Since the program was announced in June, several applications have been submitted by companies from different countries. One example is a Nigerian startup that wants to solve youth unemployment in Africa. Several European companies are focusing on solving various environmental problems, for example by helping companies to become carbon neutral or to reduce environmental impact by choosing the right food. Another company has a business idea to increase the number of female engineers.
Startups are often the drivers of innovation and change in society, but the economic climate is making it increasingly difficult for them to secure funding and pay for skills in all the necessary areas. Knowledge can change the world, and we believe that our Startup Boost program can make a big difference for these companies
Deniz Yildirim, CEO of tretton37
Startups can apply for the program until September 30, 2023, and tretton37 will then select the ten companies believed to have the greatest potential to make the world a better place. The selection criteria will include the stage of the company, the background of the founders and the social and environmental impact the company aims to achieve.
Startup Boost is open to technology companies worldwide and we will aim to select startups from different geographical regions.
Deniz Yildirim, CEO of tretton37
"An important aspect of the evaluation process is the motivation of the founders and the goals of the company. Is it about increasing inclusion in society, fighting climate change, reducing corruption, improving access to healthcare or something else? The Earth is a big place, and different regions have different challenges," says Deniz Yildirim.
A customized plan on how tretton37 can best help each of the selected companies is then created. Since tretton37 works with geographically distributed delivery teams and serves several global companies as clients, the geographical location of the startups is irrelevant.
To apply, the company must be a technology company founded after 2019 and have a maximum of 49 employees. In addition, the company must aim to create positive social impact in areas such as the environment, diversity, accessibility, health or education.
