Thanks to a new partnership with London & Partners, German startups can now benefit from the British startup ecosystem

Munich, Berlin, London, July 2024 - The German Accelerator is taking off: For the first time, there is also a program within Europe - and in London. Together with London & Partners, London's international trade, investment and development agency, German startups can now conquer the UK market.

New partnership for international scaling

The German Accelerator and London & Partners have joined forces to promote innovation and support start-ups in their international growth. With this cooperation, German startups now also get free access to a broad network and valuable resources in the UK, one of the most important European startup ecosystems.

We are delighted to open the doors to the London and UK market for German startups and scale-ups

The first program offering in the United Kingdom will start this year. German start-ups will benefit from London & Partners' local expertise and networks. The second round will start in 2025: scale-ups from the UK will come to Germany to learn from each other on a peer-to-peer level.

In today's rapidly evolving technology landscape, international collaboration is the key to success. Germany is our most important trading partner in Europe and the second largest in the world.

London & Partners will also move into the German office of the German Accelerator on the AI Campus in Berlin. This will enable all partners to work closely together and make optimum use of their networks.

German Accelerator: Successful internationally

For over 12 years, the German Accelerator has supported hundreds of German start-ups every year in entering international markets such as the USA, Asia and South America, and now it is heading to other European countries for the first time.

"After expanding to South America in 2023, the German Accelerator can now also expand its offerings with programmes in the UK to successfully support more startups on their path to internationalization," says Dr. Anna Christmann, Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Startups at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK).
