First startup batch of the new high-tech accelerator ExciteLab launched in Dresden

ExciteLab, a new accelerator in Dresden, supports high-tech start-ups in the fields of IoT, robotics and quantum technology. Startups such as SaxonQ and Mana Robotics are part of the first batch.
Dresden, September 23, 2024 - The newly founded high-tech accelerator ExciteLab has launched its first batch of startups. Nine innovative startups working on advanced technologies such as diagnostic tests, autonomous cooking systems and mobile quantum computers will be supported over the next six months through intensive coaching, mentoring and individual workshops. The initiative is a cooperation between the Technische Universität Dresden (TUD), the Excellence Center for Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship (TUD|excite), SpinLab - The HHL Accelerator and TUDAG TU Dresden Aktiengesellschaft.
Aim of the program: Making technological progress ready for the market
The first batch of ExciteLab focuses on start-ups in the fields of semiconductors, Internet of Things (IoT), sensor technology, quantum technology and robotics. The aim is to support the market-ready development of the technological innovations of the participating start-ups. In addition to customized mentoring, the startups receive direct access to industry partners and investors in order to successfully bring their products to market.
These are the start-ups in ExciteLab Batch 1
- Diamics develops high-precision diagnostic tests that can be carried out on site in clinics or doctors' surgeries without the need for large equipment.
- Flexoscope launches a flexible endoscope for dentists that makes root canal treatments more precise and effective.
- FaradaIC offers microelectronic gas sensors for precise gas monitoring in IoT applications.
- Mana Robotics is working on autonomous cooking systems that prepare healthy meals without human intervention.
- NSS Water produces ultra-pure water for the semiconductor industry that prevents contamination and increases efficiency.
- Peeriot simplifies the networking of IoT devices through self-organizing middleware.
- NanoMatter develops energy-efficient semiconductor materials that overcome the physical limits of silicon.
- Novo AI combines sensors and AI to optimize data-based maintenance processes in industry.
- SaxonQ has developed the world's first mobile quantum computer that works at room temperature and does not require extensive cooling.
ExciteLab is a high-tech accelerator in Dresden that promotes start-ups in the fields of IoT, semiconductors, robotics, sensor technology and quantum technology.
