Nurembergers back Nurembergers: Müller Medien invests in the start-up Vitas, which has developed a voice assistant for restaurants and hotlines.

Müller Medien has invested a six-figure sum in the start-up Vitas. The Nuremberg-based start-up has developed a voice assistant based on artificial intelligence that handles calls to make appointments or table reservations over the phone. It answers standard questions and so far the service is mainly used in the catering industry. Anyone with the resmio reservation system can book the voice assistant within 15 minutes.

However, Corona has made the need for reservations superfluous, so Vitas had to react and developed a voice assistant for the hotlines of the health authorities within three weeks, which has been active since April 2020.

With the money from Nuremberg-based investor Müller Medien, the voice assistant is also to be developed for other areas, such as doctors' surgeries and car repair shops. The aim is also to make the voice even more human-like. It already recognizes dialects and can therefore be used throughout Germany. In addition to such standardized offers, an order can also be placed specifically for a company or business.
