PropTech startup wants to reshape real estate management in Germany.
Berlin, February 2025 - Berlin-based PropTech startup hallo theo has received €10 million in seed funding from Insight Partners. The company intends to use the fresh capital to further develop its digital real estate management platform and expand its presence in Germany.
Technology to combat outdated processes in the real estate industry
Property management in Germany suffers from inefficient processes, outdated systems and a lack of digitalization. hallo theo is tackling precisely these issues and developing automated, AI-supported solutions to reduce the administrative burden for owners and tenants.
In Germany, there are properties worth over 29 trillion euros, but managing them is often still inefficient and frustrating. Our technology makes it possible to optimize processes and make the entire service more customer-friendly and efficient.

Investor Insight Partners sees great potential
With Insight Partners, hallo theo has gained an experienced global software investor. hallo theo is a Berlin-based PropTech startup that uses cutting-edge automation and artificial intelligence to make property management more efficient and transparent. The aim is to improve the quality of management and tenant communication and simplify processes for owners and property managers.
While hallo theo is undoubtedly taking an important step towards the digitalization of property management, the question remains as to how active on-site management can be replaced or usefully supplemented by AI. Standardized forms, invitations and reporting can be automated efficiently - but what about checking tradesmen's services or providing personal support for complex issues? Owners expect reliable management that not only optimizes digital processes, but also offers physical control and human expertise.
Perhaps the real innovation lies in tenants being able to communicate with an AI via app around the clock in future - instead of having to deal with a property management company that is difficult to reach outside of business hours. But it remains to be seen whether this can replace direct contact with a competent contact person in the long term.
