The start-up wants to earn money with digital team building. The founders have now been able to inspire Btov Partners, among others.

Most companies have learned to work remotely during the coronavirus pandemic. But how can culture, cohesion and identification with the company work? Remi wants to help build loyalty in teams digitally. The start-up, which was only founded at the beginning of the year, has now announced a financing round of 1.2 million euros. The round is being led by Btov Partners. A number of well-known business angels are also involved, including Tier CPO Georgie Smallwood, former Head of Finance at Personio Michael Kuntz, Trivago founder Rolf Schrömgens, Eyeo founder Tim Schumacher and Emma Tracey, co-founder of Honeypot.

Remi's concept is currently still being tested by companies such as Tier and Getyourguide, but the start-up says it has 500 companies on its waiting list. "Rituals such as a daily mood check, a weekly appreciation ritual or rotating team questions enable us to learn more from each other, build trust and become a stronger team overall," says Nicolò Pignatelli from Getyourguide about the start-up's offering.

Remi was founded by Valerie Krämer, Rebecca Görres and Franco Gotusso at the beginning of 2021 as an "idea on a napkin", as founder Krämer writes on LinkedIn. "In contrast to in-office culture, remote culture needs to be built and managed with much more proactivity and intentionality so that employees feel connected and safe," explains founder Görres. "With Remi, we act as the people experience manager, proactively nudging employees to feel connected on a day-to-day basis."
