The start-up wants to earn money with digital team building. Now the founders were able to inspire Btov Partners, among others.

Most companies learned to work remotely during the Corona pandemic. But how can culture, cohesion and identification with the company work? Remi wants to help build bonding in teams digitally, too. Now the start-up, which was only founded at the beginning of the year, is announcing a funding round of 1.2 million euros. The round is led by Btov Partners. Also involved are a number of well-known business angels such as Tier-CPO Georgie Smallwood, the former head of finance at Personio Michael Kuntz, Trivago founder Rolf Schrömgens, Eyeo founder Tim Schumacher and Emma Tracey, co-founder of Honeypot.

Currently, Remi's concept is still being tested at companies such as Tier and Getyourguide, but the startup says it has 500 companies on its waiting list. "Rituals like a daily mood check, a weekly appreciation ritual or rotating team questions allow us to learn more from each other, build trust and become a stronger team overall," Nicolò Pignatelli of Getyourguide tells us about the startup's offering.

Remi was founded by Valerie Krämer, Rebecca Görres and Franco Gotusso in early 2021, back when it was an "idea on a napkin" as founder Krämer writes on LinkedIn. "Unlike in-office culture, remote culture needs to be built and managed with much more proactivity and intentionality to make employees feel connected and safe," founder Görres explains. "With Remi, we act as the people experience manager, proactively nudging employees to feel connected on a day-to-day basis."
