About You aims for a valuation of up to 4.4 billion euros at IPO

The first day of trading for fashion company About You will be June 16. The start-up wants to issue the shares for 21 to 26 euros.

Two weeks ago, the online fashion retailer About You announced its intention to go public this quarter, and now the company is announcing the details: The placement of shares for a select group of investors begins today, the first day of trading will be June 16. The purchase price of the shares will be between 21 and 26 euros. In total, About You wants to raise 600 million euros with its IPO, which the start-up intends to invest in its technical infrastructure and further expansion. With its IPO, the Hamburg-based company would have a valuation of up to 4.4 billion euros.

"The planned IPO offers us the opportunity to build on our strong growth in order to further digitalize the offline shopping experience. We are very much looking forward to expanding our investor base," says founder Tarek Müller. Together with Hannes Wiese and Sebastian Betz, he founded About You in 2014 as a subsidiary of the Otto Group.

At the same time, About You has announced the composition of its Supervisory Board: It is made up of Chairman Sebastian Klauke, who is a member of the Otto Group Executive Board, and his deputy Niels Jacobsen, who as CEO of William Demant Invest oversees the investment activities of the foundation of the same name. Other members of the Supervisory Board are Christina Johansson, CFO of Bilfinger SE, Christian Leybold, Managing Partner at Headline, Petra Scharner-Wolff, CFO of the Otto Group and André Schwämmlein, who founded FlixMobility.
